520 |aThis study evaluates the multi-element geochemistry of lake sediments that re-analyzed using modern analytical methods. The geochemical data were studied using multivariate statistical methods that reveal geological features related to background geology and the type of Uranium, Thorium and Rare Earth Element mineralization that exists in the area. This study complements work that was done to assess the geochemistry around previous operating mines and developed prospects as a measure of longer term environmental impact from past mining activities.
