A workshop was held in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, from 22-24 February 1995, to assess the opportunity to establish a node of the Atlantic Maritime Ecological Science Cooperative in the province, which would address the ecological impacts of agricultural activity on terrestrial and coastal systems.... Participants reviewed activities of the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Network in Atlantic Canada and other regions of the country, and a range of diverse historical, current and future monitoring and research studies in south-central Prince Edward Island. They then assessed the proposal to set up a P.E.I. ESC node in the context of this review.--Executive summary
