Seabirds and colonial waterbirds of the Magdalen Islands : statuses and population trends / [by] Jean-François Rail. : CW69-5/502E
The size of all colonies of breeding seabirds, plus the Great Blue Heron, were estimated, with the exception of the Northern Gannet which is censused during a specific survey every five years (next due in 2009). Census methods that were used are provided in detail for each site and species. For each species, the current status of the breeding population is discussed and comparisons are made with previous surveys, as well as with historical data, to determine local population trends.
