Cover image

The main objective was to estimate the density and relative abundance of the juvenile herring population as a potential indicator of recruitment before they have joined the spawning stock. In addition to recruitment prediction, the surveys have contributed to a better understanding of the distribution, abundance, and ecological role of herring in the Strait of Georgia.
