A two-year comparison of spawning and spat settlement cycles in blue mussels (Mytilus edulis) from a salmon farm and its implications for Integrated Multi-trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) in the Bay of Fundy...: Fs97-6/2848E

Cover image

Annual reproductive cycle of the blue mussel from a commercial aquaculture site in Bocabec Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, was investigated for an eighteen month period from 2001 to 2002 to assess predictability in annual spawning and spat settlement cycles – factors important when considering the implementation of mussels as a commercial crop at current salmon growing operations in the Bay.
