The impact of gas fireplace operation on winter energy consumption and house temperatures : NH18-22/111-100E
The purpose of this set of experiments was to examine the impact of operating a gas fireplace in an R-2000 house: including the interaction of the fireplace and pilot light with the central thermostat, the impact on energy consumption for heating, and changes in room air and surface temperatures.
