This is the Final Report of the Mackenzie Basin Impact Study (MBIS), a six-year collaborative research project which began in 1990 and was supported by the Canadian government, Northwest Territories government, B.C. Hydro, the University of Victoria, Esso Resources Ltd. and others. The purpose of the study was to look at the effect which a change in climate might have on the Mackenzie Basin, its lands, waters, and the communities that depend upon them.--Introduction
