Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada winter-hardy roses from the Explorer and Parkland series have these desired characteristics. They are hardy down to -35 degrees Celsius with only snow as winter protection, are disease resistant, flower repeatedly throughout the summer, require only minimal pruning and come in a variety of colors and sizes. Description and characteristics of twenty-five winter-hardy roses from the Explorer series, twelve from the Parkland series and one other hardy rose are described in this publication and are the result of a lengthy and successful research program at Ottawa, Ontario, L' Assomption, Quebec, and Morden, Manitoba.--Preface
