Cover image

This 500-page reference on ornamental horticulture contains information on the growth conditions and hardiness zones of 70 species and cultivars of ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as propagation techniques. Intended for use by commercial growers and amateur horticulturalists, the work was compiled from data collected and analyzed between 1991 and 1997 by the Ornamental Woody Plant Testing Network, a multiyear research project on the propagation and growth of woody plants with ornamental potential in Quebec. The authors provide a hardiness evaluation for each species and recommendations on where and how to grow it.
