This report examines the relationship between the experiences of violence and the development of eating disorders in women and girls. It presents prevalence rates, identifies and describes the links, and provides guidelines for the treatment of violence and eating disorders. The report is based on a review of literature and consultations with community workers, health practitioners and mental health professionals.
