This report explains the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI), including additions and other new information for 2001. It provides information on off-site transfers of NPRI substances for recycling and energy recovery for 2001 and lists the 25 pollutants transferred in the largest quantities, as well as the industrial sectors transferring the greatest amounts for recycling and energy recovery the same year. A bibliography provides various government and Web references, as well as contact information for related organizations.
