This management plan provides long-term direction to the managers of Province House so they can protect and present its heritage appropriately. Province House is unique in Canada. It has housed the legislative assembly of Prince Edward Island since 1847 and is also designated a national historic site – the Charlottetown Conference, which led to Confederation, was held here in 1864.
