This book details a study of girls who have participated in the organized conflicts of Northern Uganda, Sierre Leone, and Mozambique. The book presents background on girls in fighting forces around the world since 1990, and on these conflicts specifically. It describes how girls become part of the fighting forces, what role they play, and what happens to them afterward. Findings and recommendations are presented for each country and for cross-cutting issues.
