While this policy-oriented action research project has a more modest goal than developing another type of best housing practice for women, it does propose practical and women-friendly urban housing policy options for local organizations and regional governments, which could give birth to more affordable, suitable and innovative forms of housing for women of all ages living on low incomes.--Introduction
