This is the final report to Parliament respecting the operations and payments made to the provincial and territorial governments under the Canada Assistance Plan. This report includes information on the parts and components of the Canada Assistance Plan (CAP), Cost Shared Programs Division activities and separate reports for fiscal years 1994-95 and 1995-96, since these are the last two years for which provincial and territorial governments could claim costs to be shared under the Canada Assistance Plan. Since this is the final report on CAP, two special Appendices have been included to provide researchers and interested citizens with important historical information on the operation of CAP.--Outline of report
