This tool is intended to provide environmental assessment practitioners with general guidance on how to incorporate climate change considerations into project environmental assessments. It describes methods for obtaining and evaluating information about a project’s potential greenhouse gas emissions; outlines sources of information relating to climate change considerations; and outlines a methodology for encouraging consistent consideration of climate change in the environmental assessment process for all jurisdictions and institutions of government responsible for environmental assessment.
