5203 |aThis report makes connections between First Nations women, forestry, and free trade. Its findings are based on a literature review and on five sharing circles held with 34 Aboriginal women living on or near three reserves in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The report makes several recommendations, including fully implementing the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples’ recommendations regarding lands and forestry, and making recognition of Aboriginal title the underlying foundation for resolving natural resource and conservation concerns.
