Annual report on the operation of the Canadian Multiculturalism Act, 2003-2004: CH31-1/2004
This annual report provides an overview of the operation of the Act over the years, a discussion of the government’s Multiculturalism Program, and a sample of how federal departments and agencies apply the Act. Areas examined include: equal opportunity in federal institutions; capacity building; enhancing understanding of and respect for diversity; research and data that support the development of relevant policies, programs, and practices; and language skills and cultural understanding of individuals of all origins.
