The Scheldt: V32-61/2004

This educational booklet describes the Battle of the Scheldt in 1944, with a special focus on the role played by the First Canadian Army in securing access to the port of Antwerp. That port enabled the Allied forces to safeguard their supply line through northern Belgium and southwestern Netherlands as Allied troops pushed their way toward Germany in the final months of the Second World War. Includes photographs and a historical map depicting the battle.
