Telecommunications Policy Review Panel executive summary and list of recommendations, 2006: Iu4-77/2005-1

The Telecommunications Policy Review Panel's report proposes changes to permit the Canadian telecommunications industry to respond more rapidly to new technology and market developments. These proposals seek to accelerate the pace of deregulation of competitive telecommunications markets and will rely more on market forces to achieve Canada's economic goals. At the same time, the proposals will strengthen and better target regulatory approaches to achieve important social objectives and protect consumers' interests in the more competitive environment.
