This policy framework outlines how various partners and stakeholders in Canada’s sport and fitness community can reduce and ultimately eliminate sport-specific barriers preventing persons with a disability from participating in sport. The document contains a vision statement, objectives, and strategies, as well as an explanation of the environmental, structural, systemic, social, and personal barriers that keep disabled persons from being full participants in Canadian society. Includes a glossary.
