This report presents the results of a study of all new indeterminate employees of the federal public service hired between April 1, 1998, and March 31, 2006. The report gives statistics on prior public service experience as a casual or term employee, workforce composition, starting salaries, age, and visible minorities. The report also provides background information and describes the study methodology.
