Transplantation workshop report : February 1-2, 2011, Sheraton Centre Hotel, Montréal, Québec : MR21-159/2011
The goal of the workshop was: to stimulate discussion and collaborations among the transplantation community; identify the key research challenges and opportunities in the field; and prepare the transplantation community for funding opportunities emerging from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) suite of Roadmap Signature Initiatives, such as “Inflammation in Chronic Disease”. In addition, the workshop provided a forum for the Institute of Infection and Immunity (III) and partners to gather recommendations from the transplantation community on how best to address the current challenges in the field and improve the clinical outcomes in transplantation through innovative research programs.
