Parliamentarians may request government information or records by presenting written questions, public petitions and notices of motions for the production of papers in Parliament. The Ministerial responses to these requests, which are tabled in Parliament, are called Parliamentary Returns. Ministers are accountable to Parliament for the content of their Parliamentary Returns.
