This report summarizes the progress made over the past five years toward providing French-language access to health services in French-speaking minority communities in Canada. It presents background information on the importance of health services in French; the intervention strategy the federal government adopted in 2001; and statistics on funded activities. The report presents seven recommendations on priorities, availability of services in French, partners and community involvement, and funding.
