Options is a two-year pilot program which helps farmers and their families improve their income prospects, while enabling them to access Renewal services to gain knowledge, develop new skills, and invest in strategic planning and management activities. Options is intended for both individual farmers and farm families whose total income from all sources has fallen below a specific threshold. The application and the information contained in this guide are for the second and final year of the Options pilot program, which is based on information submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the 2006 tax year.
