"Guidance documents are meant to provide assistance to industry and stakeholders on how to comply with governing statutes and regulations. Guidance documents also provide assistance to staff on how Health Canada's mandates and objectives should be implemented in a manner that is fair, consistent and effective. ... This guidance document provides information on the considerations for issuing one or several ofthe current thirteen (13) risk communication documents (section 5) regarding health products available on the Canadian market and that fall under the regulatory oversight of the Health Products and Food Branch"--p. i and p. 2.
