Nalcor Energy is proposing to develop two hydroelectric generation facilities on the lower Churchill River in central Labrador with a combined capacity of 3,074 megawatts (MW) and at a cost of approximately $6.4 billion. The provincial and federal governments agreed to a joint review panel to ensure that the environmental assessment satisfied their respective legislative requirements. This summary highlights recommendations made by the Panel, to be applied if the Project is approved.
