Cover image

To be effective, buffers should intercept overland flow and aid in filtering groundwater. The primary user of the tool will be people who work with farmers assisting in the design of a vegetated buffer. Producers, land owners, land managers, community and watershed groups may also find the tool useful for understanding the complexities of vegetated buffers and interpreting cropping system landscapes and their risk for sediment, pesticide, pathogen and nutrient loss.
