Healthy aging. Prevention of unintentional injuries among seniors / Issued by the Division of Aging and Seniors.H39-612/2002-6E-PDF

This Health Canada document was originally prepared as a background paper for the November 2001 workshop Healthy Aging: Aging and Health Practices, organized by the Division of Aging and Seniors. This revised version of the paper on injury prevention incorporates the experts' comments from the workshop. The Division held the workshop to solicit the advice of experts and stakeholders to develop an action plan on healthy aging. Injury prevention is one of four key determinants of healthy aging; the others are healthy eating, physical activity and smoking cessation.
