Women in science and engineering in Canada / produced by the Corporate Planning and Policy Directorate, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.: NS3-46/2010E-PDF
"The under representation of women in the various fields of science and engineering has long been recognized, and is of concern to the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). In this report, a brief review of some of the available statistics on women in science and engineering in Canada will be presented. From pre-university to post graduation, the gender preferences for science and engineering education and careers will be highlighted. Although the reasons behind gender differences in education and career selection are extremely important to consider, these issues are not the focus of this report"--Introd., p. 1.
