Focus 2006 - a strategic vision for 2001-2006: M37-50/2006E-PDF
This report sets out the vision, mission and mandate of the minerals and metals sector of Natural Resources Canada. It describes six trends that will shape the future of the sector, and lays out a strategic plan for the five-year period beginning in 2001. It notes four strategic directions: championing innovation; ensuring a strong international voice for Canada; contributing to the health, safety and security of Canadian communities; and sustaining a vibrant and responsible Canadian industry. It also emphasizes the sector's plans to be a knowledge organization.
