Long‐term ecological research at the Turkey Lakes Watershed : 35th anniversary of interdisciplinary, cooperative research, program booklet and workshop summary / K.L. Webster and P. Hazlett (compilers).: Fo123-2/13-2015E-PDF
The purpose of the workshop was to provide overviews, summaries and syntheses of past, current and on-going research in the Turkey Lakes Watershed (TLW) over the past 35 years and to discuss future directions in terms of the role that the TLW research area has in advancing forest ecosystem science and policy in the coming decades. The report includes an Introduction, which provides information about the physical and biological characteristics of the area and a short history of the study. It also includes the abstracts from the presentations, which cover five themes: trends in atmospheric pollution and climate; ecosystem response to acidic deposition and a changing climate; impacts of human activities on ecosystem structure and function; cumulative effects of human activities on ecosystem services; and the contribution of TLW to understanding broad scale ecosystem services. The panel discussion questions and outcomes from the workshop are also included.
