It falls under the Small Business, Tourism and Marketplace Services Sector of Industry Canada. Corporations Canada’s main lines of business are incorporation and related services, dissolution of corporations, ruling on the use of corporate names, collecting and disseminating information on federal companies, development of the regulatory framework, and compliance and enforcement activities. In accordance with the Policy on Evaluation and the Directive on the Evaluation Function, the purpose of this evaluation was to assess the core issues of relevance and performance of Corporations Canada. The evaluation findings and conclusions are based on the analysis of multiple lines of evidence.
