Oceanographic conditions in the Atlantic zone in 2014 .: Fs70-6/2015-030E-PDF

The Atlantic Zonal Monitoring Program (AZMP) was implemented in 1998 with the aim of: increasing the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ (DFO’s) capacity to understand, describe, and forecast the state of the marine ecosystem; and quantifying the changes in ocean physical, chemical, and biological properties. A critical element in the observational program of AZMP is an annual assessment of the physical oceanographic properties and of the distribution and variability of nutrients, phytoplankton and zooplankton.
