Recovery potential assessment for the Salish sucker in Canada .: Fs70-6/2015-038E-PDF

In 2012, the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) re-assessed the Salish sucker as Threatened (COSEWIC 2012). In support of listing recommendations for Salish Sucker, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has been asked to prepare a new Recovery Potential Assessment (RPA) to update and consolidate information and advice. A RPA is intended to provide the best possible advice on recovery potential and to identify information gaps. Relatively little data is available on the natural history, abundance, population trends, and habitat use of the Salish Sucker in Canada. Consequently, there are many uncertainties associated with the elements of the RPA.
