This Research Highlight reviews housing conditions in Canada from 1991 to 2011. It draws on a measure of acceptable housing that integrates standards for housing adequacy, suitability and affordability. Presenting national, provincial and territorial detail, it documents the extent to which Canadian households live in acceptable housing and, of those who don’t, the proportions in core housing need.
