Canada has nearly 348 million hectares of forest. This represent 38% of Canada's total land surface and 9% of the world's forest cover. About 68% of Canada's forests are coniferous, 16% are mixed wood, and the remaining 11 % are broad-leaved. Less than 0.5% of Canada's forests are havested annually.
