| 520 | |aTo enhance the fisheries research database in NAFO Division 3Ps, the Groundfish Enterprise Allocation Council (GEAC) has funded surveys during the fall of 1997 directed at cod. Two trips to perform these surveys were carried out from 24 November to 19 December 1997. During the trips, set details and length frequencies were logged in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) FSS system and otoliths were retained for subsequent aging. Catch statistics, length and age distribution, and stratified analysis estimates of cod abundance and biomass, including age distribution estimates are presented. |
