This document focuses on describing trends in distribution and abundance of the dominant pelagic fish species from southern Labrador to the Southern Grand Bank (NAFO Divisions 2J3KLNO) during the period 1994-1998. These species are all planktivores, feeding in the upper mixed layer, dependent on the summer production of zooplankton. With the exception of planktonic larval capelin, all other species are considered nekton.
