Stock status and genetics of coho salmon from the interior Fraser River / J.R. Irvine … [et al.].Fs70-1/2000-125E-PDF

This is the third annual assessment of interior Fraser coho. It share's with last year's document the objectives of providing an overview of fishery regulatory changes implemented to conserve Thompson coho and critically examining fishery and spawner escapement data to determine the effectiveness of these changes. In addition, this year's assessment introduces the topic of traditional ecological knowledge and explores ways of incorporating it into future stock assessments, examines the genetics of interior Fraser coho, and considers the role of freshwater habitat in the decline of Thompson coho. In addition, information on the status of biological enhancement and trends in productivity and spawner distributions is updated.
