Revised registered nurses data series .: CS83F0005E-PDF

This series refers to the data collected after 1978, the scope and nature of which are different from earlier nursing statistics. Unlike previous data collected in the Annual Survey of Registered Nurses which included all those registered in Canada during an entire year, this series describes only those who registered in Canada during the first four months of the registration renewal period. Furthermore, in the interest of providing more timely statistics, the processing time was significantly reduced by implementing less rigorous edits, and by using a simplified method for eliminating inter-provincial duplicates. For these reasons, care must be exercised when attempting to compare these data with those from previous years.
