Number, size composition and food of larval and juvenile fish caught with a two-boat surface trawl in the Strait of Georgia 1968, 1969, and 1973 / Skip McKinnell and R. Ian Perry.: Fs97-13/1264E-PDF
"During the Fraser Plume Study that began in the 1960s, larval and juvenile fishes were caught by a trawl net towed between two boats in the Strait of Georgia during spring and summer from 1966 to 1969 and in 1973. While the data obtained from sampling in 1966 and 1967 were published in the Manuscript Report Series of the Fisheries Research Board of Canada, none of the data collected in 1968, 1969 and 1973 were published. A volunteer effort led to the resurrection of these data from magnetic tapes, formerly stored in the electronic archives of the Pacific Biological Station. The data ncluded station locations, times and dates, sampling effort, fish catches, lengths and body weights of individual fish taken from subsamples of the catch. Quantitative measures of total stomach contents, prey species identification and prey size were available only for the first cruise in 1968 whereas stomach content data for 1966 and 1967 had been published shortly after they were collected"-Abstract.
