Subpopulation size at nine sites is increasing, three small sites were extirpated due to development and 11 previously undocumented sites were recorded. Several large occurrences of Common Hoptree have been thoroughly surveyed, leading to a substantial increase in the number of documented Common Hoptrees in Canada. More than 12,000 mature individuals are known to occur in Canada, which is an increase from the estimate of 920 to 1025 given in the 2002 report.
