"Skeena Juvenile Salmon was a Job Development Strategy Project, funded by the Employment Development Branch of Employment and Immigration Canasda. The project's main purpose was to train employees for future work in fisheries ecology or related fields such as aquaculture, using both formal instruction and job experience in a realistic setting. The project manager proposed the site and technical content of the project, in consultation with employees of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, chiefly Dr. C.D. Levings of the Habitat Research Division."--Introd., p. 1.
