Pacific Fisheries Adjustment and Restructuring Program : resource manual / Fisheries and Oceans Canada ... [et al.].: Fs23-370/1999E-PDF
To assist with new changes in the Pacific salmon fishery, and deal with the individual and community impacts, initiatives by Fisheries and Oceans Canada and programs from Human Resources and Development Canada are available to individuals from all sectors — First Nations, commercial and reacreational. Western Economic Diversification is providing economic development support to communities affected by restructuring. Indian and Northern Affairs Canada is assisting First Nations in accessing federal programs for employment adjustment and economic development. This reference manual provides brief descriptions of programs now available to assist individuals, businesses and communities adjust to the changes in the salmon fishery.
