4-Aminopyridine .: H113-28/2016-6E-PDF
4-Aminopyridine is a repellent used for the control of feral pigeons, sparrows, and certain blackbirds and cowbirds, in, on, or in the area of structures, nesting and roosting sites. The products are registered as restricted class and are for use by, or under the supervision of, government agencies and pest control operators only. Currently, one technical grade active ingredient and three restricted class end-use products are registered in Canada. The products are formulated as impregnated whole corn, corn chops or mixed grain. After a re-evaluation of 4-aminopyridine, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations, is granting continued registration of products containing 4-aminopyridine for sale and use in Canada. An evaluation of available scientific information found that products containing 4-aminopyridine do not present unacceptable risks to human health or the environment when used according to the conditions of registration, which include amended label directions.
