"The objectives of the audit were to provide CNSC’s President and Senior Management with assurance that: 1) travel and hospitality expenses are being managed in accordance with legislative and policy/directive requirements and that 2) the travel authorization and claims process is adequate and controls are risk based. The audit scope included: CNSC’s policies and authorities; risk management procedures; the control environment; adequacy of operating processes; the reporting framework for both travel and hospitality expenditures. The audit included CNSC expenditures for travel and hospitality for the period of April 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010."--p. 3.
