Physical, chemical and biological oceanographic data collected in Douglas Channel and the approaches to Kitimat, October 2014-July 2015 / C.A. Wright ... [et al.].: Fs97-16/200E-PDF
"The Kitimat fjord system on the northwest coast of Canada is the principal shipping routeto the industrial town of Kitimat. Industries in Kitimat include an aluminum smelter and an international shipping port. In light of the potential increase in shipping, baseline physical, geochemical and biological data and time series were required for the Kitimat fjord system and Hecate Strait. In 2013 the Government of Canada launched a five-year programme to collect such data under the umbrella of the World Class Prevention, Preparedness and Response for Oil Spills from Ships Initiative. This document reports physical, biological and geochemical data collected by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the Kitimat fjord system and Hecate Strait during the second year of the programme (October 2014-July 2015). The first year of the program (July 2013 to July 2014) is documented in Wright et al. (2015)"--Introd., p. [1].
