Children and Youth Programs : cluster evaluation.: H14-177/2010E-PDF
This first cluster-based evaluation of Children and Youth (CY) programs of the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) conducted between November 2008 and October 2009, examined the relevance and effectiveness of the CY Cluster in contributing to improving the health status of First Nations children, youth, and their families. FNIHB national and regional offices contributed to the evaluation, as did 37 First Nations communities that were included in the site visits. Overall, the evaluation concluded that the CY programs as a cluster (group) are relevant and effective in contributing to improving the health of First Nations children when they and their families participated in the programs. Recommendations for improvements are provided.
